Time resolution of the diamond detectors in the CMS Precision Proton Spectrometer in 2024 /CMS Collaboration
The Precision Proton Spectrometer (PPS) is a forward-proton spectrometer using near-beam detectors (inside Roman Pots, RPs) located symmetrically on both sides of IP5 at a distance of about 220 m. In addition to the tracking system, the timing detectors measure the Time-Of-Flight (TOF) of the protons produced in central exclusive interactions. [...]

Improved missing transverse energy estimation using jet energy resolution in the CMS Phase-2 Level-1 Trigger /CMS Collaboration
The High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) will result in a high number of simultaneous inelastic proton-proton interactions (pileup), posing challenges for realtime event selection. As part of the CMS Phase-2 upgrade, the Level-1 (L1) Trigger system is being redesigned to incorporate detailed detector information for improved trigger performance. [...]

HGCAL system performance tests conducted in 2024 using pre-series components in electron, pion, and muon beams /CMS Collaboration
From September 11 to 25, 2024, system performance tests for the HGCAL detector were carried out at the SPS H2 beam line. These tests aimed to evaluate the detector's behavior under realistic operating conditions of both silicon and tile modules within a magnetic field. [...]

ME0 Offline Reconstruction Study with Deep Learning /CMS Collaboration
The ME0 detector, based on triple gas electron multiplier (Triple-GEM) technology, will be implemented as part of the Phase-2 upgrade to extend muon detection coverage to the forward pseudorapidity region of $2.0 < \lvert \eta \rvert < 2.8$. In this high pileup environment, traditional reconstruction methods face significant challenges in maintaining accuracy and efficiency. [...]

CMS Silicon Strip Tracker Performance Results with 2024 Data /CMS Collaboration
The CMS silicon strip tracker consists of inner barrel (TIB) layers, inner discs (TID), outer barrel (TOB) layers, and end-caps (TEC), which close off the tracker on either end. It has been successfully recording data during both Run 1 and Run 2 data taking at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). [...]

Timing studies with the ME0 stack at the GIF++ irradiation facility /CMS Collaboration
A ME0 station of 6 layers of triple-GEM detectors will be built to instrument the very forward region of both CMS end-caps. In April 2024 the first complete 6-layer stack was assembled, and the goal of this analysis is to study the timing performance of the GEM chambers, both single and stacked, in a GIF++ test beam campaign in July 2024..

GE1/1 Background Rate /CMS Collaboration
As a part of the muon system upgrade for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider, the GE1/1 system was installed in LS2 and has been operating during Run 3. This document presents measurements of the GE1/1 background rates using data from a single fill in 2024. [...]

Deep Learning for the Level-1 ME0 Trigger in the CMS Experiment /CMS Collaboration
The ME0 detector is a detector, based on triple Gas Electron Multiplier technology, which will be installed as part of the phase-2 upgrade of the CMS experiment. The ME0 is located at the very forward region of the CMS endcap, as part of the muon system, and is the only muon detector that covers $\lvert \eta \rvert > 2.4$. [...]

It's about time: a Point Cloud Generative Model for the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter /CMS Collaboration
The High Luminosity LHC upgrade will require corresponding detector upgrades. At CMS, one of the major improvements will be the new high-granularity endcap calorimeters that will have a much higher granularity, with roughly 3 million hexagonal sensors per endcap having different sizes and thicknesses.
