The CERN Academic Training lectures take place from September to June and provide CERN members - any contract type - with opportunities to deepen and broaden their academic knowledge. The lectures cover physics and technology research results, as well as leading-edge news from other disciplines. Past lectures often present a great historical value. The lectures are open to all members of CERN personnel (staff, fellows, associates, students, users, project associates and apprentices) free of charge.
The Library has a collection of all the handouts since the start of the program in 1961. Most lectures from 1990 onwards have also been recorded. The complete catalogue of the Academic Training Programme lectures is archived since 1968. Since 2018 we can upload selected lectures in a dedicated
YouTube playlist.
